| Description |
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Supervisor, Mental Health Services reports to the Clinical Director and Manager, Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Abuse and is responsible for assigned staff, programs and services. Duties will include administering programs and supervising assigned staff; developing program policies and procedures; participating in development of division programs/services; providing clinical supervision; ensuring compliance with standards, policies and laws; maintaining statistics and preparing reports; performing initial assessments and assigning caseloads; providing after-hours on-call crisis services; providing training and other educational services; coordinating services and nurturing relationships with county and other agencies.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Qualified candidates will have a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field, 3-5 years experience in a mental health setting dealing with individuals with a serious and persistent mental illness and their families, supervisory experience and 3,000 hours of supervised mental health experience. Certification in substance abuse assessment and treatment desirable. Exemplary oral and written communication skills, the ability to get along with others and work as part of a team, flexibility, creativity, and a supervision style that promotes a positive and proactive team environment will be required. Or, any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
